What used to be my least favorite part of an outfit has slowly become the main event. As my style has shifted and grown, I have realized that the smallest details are everything.

This past week, my sorority had themed dress up days and picking out the tiny bits and pieces was my favorite part. This particular day was Coachella themed, as you can tell I went ALL out.

As always, let’s break it down. When creating this outfit, I knew I needed a simple base to build off of so of course… I went with all white. This skirt is a MUST. I thrifted it in Brooklyn and can already see it becoming a staple in my closet. Stay tuned for a game day outfit with her as the star of the show!

As for the top, I went with a simple, high neck, but backless white tank. I did this to keep the focus on the plethora of accessories we are about to dive into. Starting with the necklaces, all thanks to my mom’s collection of jewelry, this stack is one of my favorites to date. The high neck, almost choker like, bejeweled necklace is definitely the star of the show. As for the gold chain, it’s actually a purse strap!

If you can’t tell already, my favorite accessories are the ones that no one would expect to be there. These two belts, one from my mom of course and the other from Mango really pulled in the Coachella theme. Belts have definitely become my new obsession! The way that they can easily break up an outfit and add a sense of uniqueness is what makes them such a great closet staple.

Lastly, the boots… also from my amazing mother’s closet. Lesson of the day is go raid your mom’s closet once you’re done reading this because they are the true icons of fashion.

Hand chains are a great addition to your jewelry stacks. It connects your rings and bracelets/watches together in such a fun way!
