Summer Send-off

As July comes to a close, I wanted to touch on my favorite style choice from this summer: wearing white. In my opinion, white has been the color of the summer. Whether that meant white matching sets, a long white dress or even just a pair of white shoes, it has been everywhere.

I have most definitely been embracing this style trend in more ways than one. To be fair, every summer the color white is definitely a star in clothing lines and stores but this time it feels even more prominent than past years.

Let’s get into what have been my favs and how I have been approaching this summer shade.

Dressing up for a beach day has been one of my favorite parts of summer. I love getting ready for the day even if I’m in a bikini for majority of the time. There’s something about feeling good in an outfit for as short as a two minute car ride to the beach/pool.

Let’s break down this outfit. First off, all white…. Duh. I love combining different textures/patterns in a monochromatic way.

The top, from Brandy Melville, has cute little ties to adjust how modest I want to be that day… but they also just add a sense of uniqueness and shape to it.

As for the skirt, from Target, this was such an affordable but adorable find. It sits high waisted with three tiers of the eyelet, lacy pattern that has been so in for the past few months.

Last thing, I have been trying to avoid sun on my face this summer and Aviator Nation trucker hats have really been doing it for me. They sit so nicely and are practical but honestly adds to every outfit I pair it with.

This rattan, shell shaped clutch has been my summer obsession. I found it in Amsterdam at a local shop run by the coolest woman I’ve ever met.

@sannehop is her instagram, go check her out! I also bought the most amazing handmade button vest from her. I’ll include a photo of it below.

I’m the type of person that stops wearing white after labor day (totally archaic) so I clearly have been soaking it up as much as I can. Hope you enjoyed reading this weeks digest.
